چکیده
Every year, the human impact on world’s water sources becomes more pronounced. One of triggers to this increase is use ineffective wastewater and sludge treatment systems. Recently, number studies microwave processing in handling liquid municipal industrial waste has increased. This paper discusses heat treatment, change properties, decomposition substances, removal metals, demulsification, pyrolysis, biogas processing, disinfection, other topics. The findings European, Chinese, Russian, authors are summarised presented review. In addition, most notable Russian patents for installations/devices reactors suitable a wide variety applications discussed. article, look at from perspective practical application various fields economic activity.

This paper reviews the development, design and applications of electrochemical technologies in water and wastewater treatment. Particular focus was given to electrodeposition, electrocoagulation (EC), electroflotation (EF) and electrooxidation. Over 300 related publications were reviewed with 221 cited or analyzed. Electrodeposition is effective in recover heavy metals from wastewater streams. ...
متن کاملExpanded granular sludge bed bioreactor in wastewater treatment
The expanded granular sludge bed bioreactor appears today as a cheap, robust and more popular technology because it operates using a fluidized bed, which allows increasing in organic load and in cell retention times, generating higher treatment efficiencies (up to 95 %) and renewable energy (i.e., biogas, biomethane, and biohydrogen). Nevertheless, the efficiency of this bioreactor mainly depen...
متن کاملTreatment Technologies for Organic Wastewater
There are several contaminants in wastewater, with organic pollutants playing the major role. Many kinds of organic compounds, such as PCBs, pesticides, herbicides, phenols, polycylic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), aliphatic and hetercyclic compounds are included in the wastewater, and industrial and agricultural production as well as the people living could be the source of organic wastewater e...
متن کاملAdvanced technologies in water and wastewater treatment
The use of conventional water and wastewater treatment processes becomes increasingly challenged with the identification of more and more contaminants, rapid growth of population and industrial activities, and diminishing availability of water resources. Three emerging treatment technologies, including membrane filtration, advanced oxidation processes (AOPs), and UV irradiation, hold great prom...
